It has become popular in recent years to chose a "word of the year." A word that sums up goals, aspirations and dreams all in one. A word that someone can strive to become or perhaps a reminder of who they are in Christ.
This year, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try this whole thing out. :)
Today I'm excited to announce that my word of the year is....COURAGE!
Because it can be hard to pick just one word, I used Dayspring's awesome "Word of the Year" quiz to help me figured it out! (Click here to take the quiz yourself!)
I was a little skeptical at first, I'll admit. But the more I thought about the word "courage" the more I realized how much I need more courage in my life.
Joshua 1:9 says "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
It is not just a wish to have courage... it is a command from the Bible! I no longer want fear to hold me back from doing whatever God calls me to do. I want 2019 to be the best year yet and to be able to conquer with courage.
My encouragement to you, dear readers, is to choose a word and embrace it! Embrace what God is calling you to be this year and trust in His excellent plan!
